In pieno inverno, in una foresta in movimento di lecci e corbezzoli si muovono i performer, creature di confine, mediatori tra l’umano e il selvatico, tra ciò che è natura e ciò che potrebbe tornare ad esserlo. A loro è affidato il compito di trasmettere un messaggio di accoglienza, di coesistenza possibile tra specie diverse, in un racconto che trascende le parole, attraverso un linguaggio ibrido e pulsante, che si nutre di suggestioni poetiche e temi compositivi ispirati alla foresta, alla metamorfosi, alla continua danza tra umano e vegetale. Le partiture gestuali, ispirate ai versi di Rainer Maria Rilke, raccontano un inverno che non è fine, ma transito e migrazione: la foresta stessa si fa corpo in cammino. La performance prende vita nel chiostro del Museo Sant’Orsola di Firenze, un luogo che, dopo anni di abbandono, si risveglia abitato da una foresta temporanea capace di assorbire CO₂, mitigare il calore urbano e diffondere un messaggio di rinnovamento. Questa è IMForest025 – Itinerant Mediterranean Forest, un progetto visionario promosso da LWCircus-Onlus sotto la direzione artistica di Annacaterina Piras. Un bosco mediterraneo in movimento che, partendo da Firenze, attraverserà l’Europa nel 2025, fino a raggiungere la Spagna, come una staffetta verde che unisce comunità e paesaggi in un unico respiro. La prima tappa, SOForest025, si radica nel cuore di Firenze, il chiostro del Museo Sant’Orsola, durante le giornate di Pitti Uomo.

In the heart of winter, within a moving forest of holm oaks and strawberry trees, the performers begin to move threshold beings, mediators between the human and the wild, between what is nature and what might once again become so.

They are entrusted with the task of conveying a message of welcome, of possible coexistence among different species, through a narrative that transcends words. Their language is hybrid and pulsating, nourished by poetic echoes and compositional themes drawn from the forest, from metamorphosis, from the ceaseless dance between human and vegetal life.

Their gestural scores, inspired by the verses of Rainer Maria Rilke, tell of a winter that is not an end, but a passage, a migration: the forest itself becomes a body in motion.

The performance comes to life in the cloister of the Museo Sant’Orsola in Florence, a place long abandoned, now reawakened—inhabited by a temporary forest capable of absorbing CO₂, softening urban heat, and spreading a message of renewal.

This is IMForest025 – Itinerant Mediterranean Forest, a visionary project promoted by LWCircus-Onlus, under the artistic direction of Annacaterina Piras. A Mediterranean forest in motion that, starting from Florence, will cross Europe in 2025, reaching Spain like a green relay that connects communities and landscapes in a single, shared breath.

The first stop, SOForest025, takes root in the heart of Florence, in the cloister of the Museo Sant’Orsola, during the days of Pitti Uomo.
